Marine Assoumov, painter and collagist, lives and paints in ASNIERES. Impassioned creator, Marine Assoumov works per series on topics which appeal to her: studio fragments, mental landscapes, oniric abstractions and so on, realised in painting (oil, acrylic) and drawing (collage, ink wash).
The artist explores the power of color in strong compositions, nourishing the canvas with thick layers of oil. Her collages mix various materials such as textile, paper or plant with handwritten or printed typographical signs. The pictorial treatment deepens matter and color, with a very simplified drawing far away from illustration.
